Christian Jacob is a French jazz pianist, composer, arranger, and bandleader known for elegant post-bop playing, classical precision, and a long career across trio, vocal jazz, film, and concert work. A Paris Conservatory and Berklee College of Music-trained musician, he gained wider recognition through his work with Maynard Ferguson and as pianist, arranger, and co-leader of the Grammy-nominated Tierney Sutton Band. His credits also include collaborations with Betty Buckley, Clint Eastwood, Gary Burton, Phil Woods, Michael Brecker, Randy Brecker, and solo or trio recordings such as Maynard Ferguson Presents Christian Jacob, Time Lines, Styne & Mine, Contradictions, Beautiful Jazz: A Private Concert, and The Originals.
