Jessy J is an American contemporary and smooth jazz saxophonist known for blending melodic jazz with Latin, Brazilian, soul, and R&B influences. Born Jessica Arellano and raised in California, she studied jazz at the University of Southern California before building a career as a solo artist, touring musician, and studio player. Her breakthrough came with the album Tequila Moon and its chart-topping title track, followed by releases including True Love, Hot Sauce, Second Chances, My One and Only One, Blue, and Terranova. Her catalog also includes fan favorites such as “Tropical Rain,” “Una Mas,” “Listen 2 the Groove,” and “Dance Beat,” while her recording and performance credits include work with Paul Brown, Michael Bublé, The Temptations, Michael Bolton, Robin Thicke, Anita Baker, Norman Brown, Joe Sample, Harvey Mason, and Ray Parker Jr.
